The archaeological site of Copán, spectacular and big, was one of the most important Mayan cities in the region, for more than 2,000 years.

Honduras is also rich in natural attractions, such as the natural reserve of Moskitia, an amazing and pristine sanctuary of the wilderness; the biosphere reserve of Rio Plátano, or Banana River, where you will find both ancient Mayan basements and small populations of people, as well as native flora and fauna.

A diverse country

Honduras is also home of the Garifuna community, which are a mixed race people, that live in small populations, talk their own language and have lived and existed in Central America, enjoying the Caribbean since 1797.
