An extraordinary natural and cultural heritage

The archaeological site of Copán, spectacular and big, was one of the most important Mayan cities in the region, for more than 2,000 years.

Honduras is also rich in natural attractions, such as the natural reserve of Moskitia, an amazing and pristine sanctuary of the wilderness; the biosphere reserve of Rio Plátano, or Banana River, where you will find both ancient Mayan basements and small populations of people, as well as native flora and fauna.

A diverse country

Honduras is also home of the Garifuna community, which are a mixed race people, that live in small populations, talk their own language and have lived and existed in Central America, enjoying the Caribbean since 1797.

On a different sight, the unbelievably beautiful blue waters of the Bay Islands are an excellent destination for diving, snorkeling, kayaking, boating or just relaxing at the sandy beaches; also the nightlife is worth experiencing! Other plus is that in Utila, the smallest of the Islands, you may even be lucky enough to encounter and swim with a whale shark! These startling marine animals are to be seen year round…
